On June 27, Mojang revealed that Minecon 2013 location will be in Orlando, Florida. And the highly anticipated 3rd all-things Minecraft convention will be held from November 2-3. Minecraft developer also shared that Minecon 2013 tickets will be available this July along with hotel deals and accommodation packages. Recent rumors about Minecon 2013 suggest that 7000 tickets will be sold.

Days later, the venue for the Minecon 2013 location was leaked. A link of the calendar of events of Orange County Convention Center listed Minecon as one of the events they will be hosting for the month of November. However, the said Minecon 2013 listing was removed from the webpage.

Despite the removal of Minecon event from the calendar listing of OCCC, interested attendees could still verify that Minecon 2013 location will be in the Orange County Convention Center through looking for and typing in Minecon using OCCC's search form. (screenshot below)However, this happened only for a short period because Minecon was again deleted as it is already nowhere to be found from the listing yielded by the search result.

MrBlurbGaming, a Youtube member, said in his Minecon 2013 videos that the listing was removed either because of the high traffic received causing server issues, or Mojang simply wants it to be removed to keep Minecon 2013 location a secret.

New rumors were claiming that 7000 tickets will be sold for the Minecon 2013 event because OCCC can hold as many attendees as that. The Wiki page for Minecon states, "Minecon 2013 will be hosted in the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) with an attendance of 7,000 on November 2-3. Mojang most likely wanted this information to be kept secret for a while. Due to popularity directed toward OCCC's website, Minecon was taken off the list for upcoming events."
