Will Fin.K.L Reunite At Lee Hyori's Wedding In September? Band Member Ock Ju Hyun Says Yes

Singer Ock Ju Hyun of the iconic K-pop group Fin.K.L is hell-bent on getting the band back together at previous member Lee Hyori's wedding in September.

In an interview Sunday on the South Korean program "Section TV," Ock recalled that during their tenure as one of the country's most successful pop groups, FinK.L discussed reuniting on the special day if one of the women in the group was to get married.

"The members once talked about singing 'Forever Love' complete with our costumes from back then, at a member's wedding," she said.

Ock said she is determined to make the reunion a reality, even if it is just her and Lee.

"I will sing Forever Love at Lee Hyori's wedding," Ock said.

Formed in 1998, Fin.K.L informally disbanded in 2002 after the band members all left to pursue solo careers.

One of four members of the group, Ock praised Lee's fiance, Rollercoaster guitarist Lee Sang Soon as being generous and polite.

"He′s very well-mannered," she said. "He always brings a present when he comes to see me at a performance."

Ock said Lee could learn something from her soon-to-be significant other.

"On the other hand, [Lee] never brings anything," she said.

Earlier this month, Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon caused massive media confusion when their representatives released a statement they were getting married, only to deny the statement a few hours later.

On July 4, K-pop's Queen of the "Bad Girls" took to her online fanpage Hyori Together, to confirm that she was, in fact, getting married and to explain that it was lack of proper preparation that led her and her fiance to deny that the wedding was on.

"If I go straight to the point, it's true that I'm getting married," Lee Hyori wrote.

"We only agreed that it would be good to get married around September and haven't told our parents. We haven't prepared an official meeting with our parents, wedding invitations among other things."

She said the initial reports of the wedding, which reached her family before she did, led to a lot of tension for the couple.

"I saw that news reports regarding my marriage went out [on July 3] and there were a lot of speculative articles and people claiming they're quoting my close acquaintances," Lee's statement said.

"Through that, our parents and close friends found out and it caused a lot of harm."

The singer said the ordeal led to news of her wedding not getting released the way she wanted it to be.

"It is so personal and I wanted to tell everyone with my mouth after uncertain things became finalized, but it's always been difficult to do so as usual," Lee wrote.

"We needed time to think how we should respond to the news. We wanted to tell our fans in a good way about the news in due time, but I'm sorry to the fans. Since it came out like this, we'll prepare well and do our best."
