Sherlock Season 3 Update: First Word Of Episode Three Title Revealed, Will 'His Last Bow' Be The Inspiration?

As promised by earlier reports, reruns of "Sherlock" series two has revealed the first word of the episode three title for the BBC series' upcoming season 3, although it isn't the most illuminating.

His. Yep, that's the word.

As noticed by internet sleuths and loyal "Sherlock" viewers, the letters 'H', 'I', and 'S' were shown in different segments of the rerun episode, "A Scandal in Belgravia."

So, given that BBC only has two more episodes, "The Hounds of Baskerville" and "The Reichenbach Fall" to show the remaining words of the title, it is likely the episode three title is a three-word title.

As noted by Den of Geek, Steven Moffat had teased earlier regarding season 3 with the words rat, wedding, and bow. So, does this mean the title for episode three will be "His Last Bow," based on the famous Sherlock Holmes story?

Although "Sherlock" season 3 is expected to air later this year, filming is currently on hiatus as Martin Freeman goes back to New Zealand to shoot more of "The Hobbit." So what's the progress on season 3 after all?

"We've done two. But we've now got a small gap - a small gap? A large gap! - while Martin (Freeman) goes back to New Zealand to film a bit more of the 'Hobbit' and then he'll return to us," says producer Steven Moffat during a recent interview with EW.

"Hopefully, by that time [Freeman's return], I'll actually have finished the 'Sherlock' script I'm writing and we'll make another one," says Moffat.

Tune in to solve the mystery of the title as "Sherlock" continues its reruns on BBC.
