Legend Of Korra Book 1 Art Book Sets Up Book 2: Order Now In Kindle And Hardcover

As "The Legend of Korra" awaits its Book 2: Spirits release, fans of the Nickelodeon series can purchase the official Book 1: Air art book featuring the works of Bryan Konietzko, Michael DiMartino, and Joaquim Dos Santos.

"It's like I escaped from a burning building, caught my breath, and then ran back in for some unknown reason," writes Konietzko in the introduction.

While the official release is slated for July 23, fans can purchase "The Legend of Korra" art book on Amazon for $24.79 in the US. There is also a Kindle Edition for $16.79.

"This handsome hardcover contains hundreds of pieces of never-before-seen artwork created during the development of Season 1 of the show," states the product description.

"With captions from Michael and Bryan throughout, this is an intimate look inside the creative process that brought the mystical world of bending and a new generation of heroes to life!"

And much like the art book released for "Avatar: The Last Airbender," early impressions of the publication have been very positive.

In addition, a few character backstories are reportedly revealed in the book, including Mako and Bolin's mother and how Korra teamed up with Naga.

With Konietzko and DiMartino ready to grace the San Diego Comic-Con panel this weekend, fans should definitely support "The Legend of Korra" with this art book.

"I got home from the comic store and just sat down and read the book in completion, completely entranced by it," writes Avatar Online contributor Morgan Bannon.

"It will take multiple reads to take in every detail of the many pieces of art, but I learned a lot about the sheer amount of work that goes into creating Korra from reading this book."
