Rookie Groups to Look Out For in 2012

With a New Year, the K-Pop industry is on a roll releasing new talent to kick off 2012. With new groups taking the stage, who will rise up on top?
We introduce three new groups to look out for: EXO, B.A.P, Spica, and Six Bomb. With these fresh new faces, here’s what to expect from them this year.

EXO
SM Entertainment announced on their YouTube channel that rookie group EXO would “lead the world music industry from now on.” The agency’s marketing strategy will be to tease fans with 12 clips to showcase the band’s music after their much-hyped debut. By doing this, fans have been eagerly anticipating the debut of this group.

Earlier today, SM Entertainment released the music video for What is Love, the debut single from their latest discovery. Check out the video below.

B.A.P
After seeing SM Entertainment’s strategy to promote their new group, can another agency top that? Well it certainly seems possible with TS Entertainment showcasing their new fresh band B.A.P. The boys started their promotions with a great showcase last week for their debut single Warrior. Check out their music video.

Spica

Looks like not only are the boys having fun, but so are the girls in this group. Spica has set themselves apart from any other girl groups by showing off their vocals through a ballad as their debut. With Lee Hyori behind the mike, she makes her group’s debut Potenty very pure and beautiful.

Six Bomb

We end our list with the six-member girl group Six Bomb, who made their debut this month. The girls released their first mini album last week and promoted their lead single Chiki Chiki Bomb on many music programs. Do you think these girls have what it takes to beat the competition? Check out their music video of their debut single.

We finish up this round up with a question for you: which one of these groups will you be listening to? Send us your comments below.
