Ailee Injures Her Ankle In Rehearsal AGAIN! Is Singer Driving Herself Too Hard To Promote 'A's Doll House'?

Ankle problems continue to plague K-pop singer Ailee.

Ailee, who fought through a major leg injury last week to perform the Korean Broadcasting System program "Music Bank" on the release date of her new album "A's Doll House," injured herself onstage again during a rehearsal for another appearance on the show.

"During the rehearsal [on Friday] Ailee twisted her ankle and she fell down on stage," the producers of "Music Bank" told the publication Newsen in an official statement.

"Her ankle was swollen, but she couldn't even go to the hospital because of the live broadcast. Thankfully, it wasn't a big accident."

A representative for Ailee's record label YMC Entertainment says the incident has made them rethink the singer's rigorous schedule to promote "A's Doll House."

"Since she worked hard for her new album, [Ailee] stood on stage anyway for her comeback last week on June 12," the YMC Entertainment Rep said.

"However, she fell again during today's rehearsal, so we're thinking about what is the best course of action to take for her promotions."

Blogger Yellow Slug Reviews can't believe Ailee's bad luck.

"So, it looks like Ailee is just as bad at dancing in heels as she is great with a mic," the blogger wrote on Friday.

"Or it could be that someone who works at the Music Bank stage waxes that thing with Vaseline...Is Ailee singing on bounded stilts? Does [her new single] "U&I" require Ailee to roller-skate on oil for Music Bank?"

Last week, a YMC Entertainment spokesperson described Ailee's determination to perform on Music Bank after her initial injury to the South Korean publication Sports Chosun.

"Ailee fell on July 10 and seriously injured her left ankle," the spokesperson said.

"She received treatment, but she is still experiencing pain. Yet, she showed a strong will to make her comeback, and she went on stage thinking of her fans who waited for her new album. She will continue to receive treatment while continuing her album promotions."

The 24-year-old singer first burst onto the K-pop scene in February with her hit single "Heaven." The singer's first EP "Invitation" followed soon after.

According to Lee Hi Ji's review last month in the publication TENASIA, Ailee is giving Lee Hyori a run for her money as the Beyonce of Korea.

"[Ailee] has been proving herself worthy of her nickname as Korea's Beyonce through KBS's idol star singing competition show 'Immortal Songs 2,'" Lee wrote.
