As Pokemon X and Pokemon Y prepares for its release October 12, a major spoiler has been leaked regarding the Champion of the Pokemon League, and according to the source, it is none other than Professor Sycamore!

Professor Augustine Sycamore, as per Pokemon tradition, will be the one to introduce gamers to the three starter Pokemon, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.

And as confirmed by Nintendo and other sources, Professor Sycamore will be the first Professor players have to battle, and will reportedly battle with you several times throughout the game.

Being a Pokemon first, it makes sense that the leak also elaborates on the identity of the Champion, which turns out to be the one who starts your Pokemon journey in the first place.

Although much is still left to be discovered regarding the story behind how and why Professor Sycamore becomes the Champion, the story of X and Y definitely seems to be taking a new direction like never before.

The leaker also reveals that as per tradition, the Champion aka Professor Sycamore will use a mixed team without any discernible type affinity. No surprise there.

In addition to Sycamore being the Champion, the leaker also reveals that the Elite Four players do battle with prior will be Elizabeth, Charles, Louis, and Isabella.

Their respective types will be Bug, Psychic, Ground, and Ice.
