Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Release: New Nexus 10 Arriving With Google’s New Mobile Operating System In October?

A new Nexus 10 might already be on the way and it may run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

During Google press event yesterday, July 24, Sundar Pichai, the head of Google Chrome and Android products, told that a new Nexus 10 will be available in the near future. With this, Android and Me posted a question, "Could a new Nexus 10 be on the way this fall?" And will it run the newest iteration of Google mobile OS, the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie?

Amir Efrati of Wall Street Journal was able to get some interesting information from Pichai regarding Nexus 10. His tweets shared that a Samsung-built Nexus 10 will be available in the near future. However a specific new Nexus 10 release date has not been revealed.

After all  the revelations about Google products, a lot of experts are now expecting that Samsung manufactured new Nexus 10 will be available at some point this fall season, alongside Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

The same post from Android and Me said that October will be the best time for an Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie release, running on a new Nexus 10. The current edition of Nexus 10 was released November of last year, thus, an October release will put the tablet on an annual release cycle.

Nexus 10 was not able to achieve the level of Success Nexus 7 did, and there are news claiming that the next-gen version of the latter will be sporting an HD display. This can make it even harder than for the Nexus 10 tablet to attract more buyers and soar higher in the market. Furthermore, there is also a good chance that Nexus 7 2 will also get the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

If this happens, will the new Nexus 10 still be interesting enough for the consumers? Or will Android fans prefer the upcoming Nexus 7 2 with HD display and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie than the Nexus 10?

Stay updated as more news about Nexus 10 and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will definitely surface online in the coming weeks.
