Niall Horan of One Direction is a new uncle, and his nephew now has a name.

Niall Horan's brother Greg and sister-in-law Denise had a baby boy last week. The Irish Sun reveals that they have now named the boy Theodore, or "Theo" for short.

Uncle Niall was originally hoping for the name "Alfie," but also approves of "Theodore."

Greg said: "He's doing great now, he's a little dote and we are getting used to having him at home."

One Direction fans on Twitter guessed that the newest member of Niall's family would be called "Zeus," but Greg quickly debunked this rumor.

"It was never going to be Zeus anyway," he laughed. "I'm not even on Twitter anymore so anything someone says I have said probably isn't right."

Last week, Niall flew home to Westmeath just in time for the baby's arrival at Mullingar General Hospital.

Niall introduced Theo to his fans on his Instagram, where he posed for a photo holding the little baby boy.

In the caption, the One Direction crooner congratulated his brother and sister-in-law on the birth.

"I've got a nephew! Cutest kid ever!" he added.

According to The Irish Sun, Horan's family will organize a Christening for the baby later this summer, before Niall has to head off for the Australian leg of the "Take Me Home" tour.

The Irish Sun revealed in March 2013 that Niall found out he was going to be an uncle just before Greg wed Denise in Mullingar.

The news of his nephew's name should serve as a mood-booster for Niall, who has told Twitter fans he is suffering from a sore throat. He apologized to fans coming to the Denver, Colorado show.

Niall tweeted: "I apologise now to anyone comin t Denver show! Throat is all over the place."
