After playing a role in one of Hollywood's ugliest divorces a few years back, Charlie Sheen may be winning a spot back in the heart of ex-wife Denise Richards.

On an upcoming episode of "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" the "Wild Things" actress gave an update on her life co-parenting with the "Anger Management" star. Their relationship made a turn from bitter to sweet. According to Richards it all started when Sheen began coming by the house to hang out with their daughters.

"It just evolved into him coming over more often and us going there," Richards says in the OWN interview, reported the Huffington Post.

Their quality time isn't just limited to Sheen's house visits. Richards divulged, as weird as it may sound, they take family trips from time to time.

"We even vacation together, which is odd for some people -- and I would think so too, on the outside looking in. But it works for us."

Although the two want to remain civil for the children, the actress revealed that she actually has a true liking for the father of her girls.

"We actually enjoy being around each other. We have fun," Richards says. "And we're not faking it in front of the kids. I'm sure at the beginning there were times that we were, but [now] it's genuine."

She also credited the respect they have for one another as a huge reason why they get along so well.

"He knows I don't judge him and he knows that I will be there for him no matter what -- and vice versa."

When Richards appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in 2008 she admitted to being afraid of Sheen's temper and verbal abuse. Currently, it is apparently a new day.
