Sherlock Season 3 Teaser After The Reichenbach Fall Rerun [PHOTO]? Mysterious Image Excites Fans For The Empty Hearse Premiere Episode

As "Sherlock" season 3 inches every closer, tonight's BBC rerun of "The Reichenbach Fall" may have a teaser of what's to come, reports RadioTimes.

As previously reported, BBC is currently airing reruns of season 2, and in addition to teasing what a season 3 episode title would be, it seems new footage may be tagged onto tonight episode.

"Our advice-keep watching to the very end!" says a BBC insider.

The likelihood of this being a teaser of the season 3 premiere, "The Empty Hearse," is high. However, it might be unlikely that it will show sequences or scenes that is actually revealing of anything.

More than likely, the footage may be the very beginning of the season 3 premiere, leading us into the premiere, whenever that may be.

The teaser image accompanied by this report, is also quite interesting.

As many fans may know, "The Empty Hearse" is based on the famous Sherlock Holmes story, "The Adventure of the Empty House," wherein Sherlock dupes Moriarty's henchman by placing a wax bust near the window while he goes about his business.

This teaser image of the silhouette of Benedict Cumberbatch aka Sherlock, may very well allude to that iconic image.

But what's interesting is that if Moriarty is indeed dead (and he is, as confirmed by Steven Moffat), will the season 3 premiere episode involve Sherlock dodging his threats even from beyond the grave?

Perhaps some of these questions will be answered tonight, with "Sherlock" rerun "The Reichenbach Fall." Stay tuned!
