Ailee's 'U&I' Remains At The Top Of The Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 For The Second Week In A Row

Singer Ailee is K-pop's new queen of the charts, as her new single "U&I" from her album "A's Dollhouse" is in the number on spot on Billboard's K-pop Hot 100 for the second week in a row.

Although an ankle injury sustained in rehearsal nearly derailed her promotional efforts for the song, the high-energy, horn blazing "U&I" appears to have struck a chord with fans.

The song, which was produced by Shinsadong Tiger, is in its third week on the Billboard K-pop top five.

Also produced by Shinsadong is the A Pink song "NoNoNo," which remains at number two for the second week on the Billboard K-pop chart. The song also made it to number three on this week's GAON chart, a state-sponsored South Korean record chart tracked by the Korea Music Content Industry Association.

"U&I" is currently number one on the GAON chart.

Jumping up to number three on the Billboard K-pop top five after a stint at number five last week is BEAST's powerful new song "Shadow."

Featuring a dark, apocalyptic video, complete with elaborate CGI effects, the performance on "Shadow" is some of BEAST's best work to date.

And like the guest that wouldn't leave, Lee Sueng Chul's song "My Love" jumps to number four in its seventh week on the Billboard K-pop chart.

Last week, "My Love" was at number seven.

Earlier this month at a press conference for the TV reality singing competition "Superstar K," Lee expressed excitement about his role as a judge alongside Yoon Jong-shin and Lee Ha-neul on the upcoming season.

"I think [we] will do great," Lee said, according to the website TENASIA. "I will try to give helpful advice to people."

And rounding out the top five is pop duo Davichi's hit single "Missing You Today." The song has been on the Billboard chart for a month.

"Missing You Today" explores the complicated emotions one grapples with as a relationship ends and features the powerful vocals bandmates Lee Haeri and Kim Minkyung are known for.

Last week, Davichi's single was at number six.

"Missing You Today" was in the top spot two weeks ago, becoming the group's second number one single on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 since the cart was created in August of 2011.
