Pokemon X And Y Pokedex CoroCoro Rumors: Second Eevee Evolution And…A Potato Chip Pokemon?

By Staff Writer | August 06, 2013 10:28 AM EDT

As Pokemon X and Y loom ever closer, a few new Pokedex rumors before this month's CoroCoro have surfaced (no, it is not from this fake leaker), intriguing Pokemon fans.

Pokejungle reports that these rumors allegedly come from an associate at Nintendo speaking during an anime convention. Of course, the source has asked to remain anonymous, and as of now the rumors have not been confirmed.

But the rumors are certainly interesting.

Firstly, the rumors are that the next issue of CoroCoro will contain scans of Pokemon X and Y Pokedex additions, one inspired by a bag of potato chips, and another inspired by a sushi roll.

Before you scoff with ridicule, keep in mind that Pokemon has absolutely done food-inspired Pokemon before, like Vanillite and the X and Y Pokedex addition, Swirlix.

However, as Pokejungle points out, a new Eevee evolution in addition to Sylveon seems hard to believe.

"A lot of people are convinced there will be no second Eevee evolution this generation since if there was it would have featured alongside Sylveon in the recent movie special. Though it is for this very reason that there may be a second evolution."

"Game Freak is of course notorious for making us think we know what's going on, then eventually revealing the precise opposite. They go out of their way to do this, often making choices that at first seem illogical."

Unlike previous rumors, this one will be confirmed as soon as CoroCoro is released this month, so Pokemon X and Y fans won't have to wait much to get confirmation.
