The couple recently confirmed that they have been dating since March. They met on the set of the jTBC drama, "Thorn Flower," a daily drama, which ran for six months. Filming wrapped up on Aug. 1.

According to Kang Kyun Joong's agency K Star Entertainment, the two actors became friendly while playing leading roles on the drama. In "Thorn Flower," Jang Shin Young played Jun Se Mi, an innocent woman who is betrayed and then seeks revenge. Kang Kyun Joong played the drama's villain.
