"The Master's Sun" Delivers Strong First Episodes

The new drama "Master's Sun," starring So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin, started out strong this week with its first episodes earning 13.6 percent of the time slot's viewers.
The opening episodes of the rom-com horror drama were both funny and scary. Gong Hyo Jin's character is terrorized by visions of the departed but the way she finds of alleviating the visitations is funny. In that episode she discovers that any time she is touching So Ji Sub's character, the ghosts will leave her alone.
Since being next to him means a vacation from ghostly visits and a chance to sleep peacefully, she does not ever want to leave his side. He does not believe in ghosts and thinks she is crazy.
Gong Hyo Jin, the star of "Pasta" and "The Greatest Love," makes a very likeable heroine. So Ji Sub, the star of "Phantom" and "What Happened in Bali," plays a man so arrogant that you want to see him taken down a notch. It's not an unusual kdrama premise but visits by ghosts keep it interesting.
