Selena Gomez is about to start her "Stars Dance" tour 2013 on August 14 in Vancouver and she’s spending her last days at home hanging with friends and with her mother Mandy Teefey and baby sister Gracie.
The “Come and Get It” singer Selena Gomez told Saturday Night Online “I was just telling everyone that I’m probably going to release another record next year. I’m just so pumped and definitely, the older I get, the more I get inspired and the bigger I want to make my music.”
Selena Gomez has said she’d love to take some time off from music and immerse herself in acting, such as her upcoming roles in “Behaving Badly” and “Rudderless,” which is preferable to life on the road.
She said, “I find that it’s just exhausting to do both. I just really found myself not having a life. I felt like I wanted to separate it a little more once Wizards [Of Waverly Palace] was over, and I just kind of separated them as best as I could. It is hard, because I take such a long break without one or the other and I end up missing it a lot.”
The acting she did in “Spring Breakers” has freed Selena Gomez to take risks about how she will divide her time between the two arts and how people see her. Selena Gomez grew up on TV in such shows as “Barney and Friends” and “Wizards of Waverly Place,” and the racy role was liberating. She told dailystar.co.uk, "This opened my eyes and made me more comfortable in taking risks. It also changed people’s perception in Hollywood. I think it’s exciting to throw people off, so I like it. “Spring Breakers” helps me not be afraid. Like I said, I’m generally very tentative and over-thinking, but this movie made me push myself. I`m excited just to look at what`s out there and take the next step and do a couple of different roles - whatever they are."
Selena Gomez will be on tour until November 27.
