First indicated by All About Pokemon Figure (AAPF), a series of older Pokemon have recently gone through the trademark registration process.
While this is usually tied to merchandising and marketing copyright, Pokemon X and Y seems particularly keen to reintegrate the older generations back into the fold, and the primary reason is pointed to Mega Evolutions.
Within this list of registered Pokemon, several are already introduced with Mega Evolutions, including Ampharos, Absol, Kangaskhan, and Mewtwo.
In addition, a series of names are first-time trademark registered names, which automatically ties it to Pokemon X and Y or another Pokemon game, like Pokemon Rumble U.
But for now, it is possible these names could also indicate they will receive Mega Evolution in Pokemon X and Y.
These names include:
Charizard, Blastoise, Gengar, Pinsir, Jynx, Gyarados, Aerodactyl, Scizor, Houndoom, Tyranitar, Heracross, Gardevoir, Medicham, Banette, Aggron, Latias/Latios, Abomasnow.
As many have noticed with Pokemon X and Y rumors, they are to be taken with a grain of salt until proven correct, but given the origin of these rumors, these Pokemon will likely show up in some form in the near future.
Indeed, while some may just be for merchandise or another Pokemon game, chances are some of these Pokemon within this list will receive Mega Evolutions.
What do you think? Are you excited for any of these Pokemon to join the roster of Mega Pokemon? Which Mega Evolutions would you look forward to the most?
