"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch may be busy filming for season 3, but the actor is also the subject of dating rumors after sources theorized Russian model Katia Elizarova may be his girlfriend.

But now, Elizarova is coming out to deny the girlfriend rumors, saying Benedict Cumberbatch is nothing more than a friend and a mentor.

"I know the pictures look intimate but it's all innocent," says Elizarova according to the Daily Mail.

"It looks like we are having a sexy chat, but we were actually discussing what we were going to have off the restaurant menu."

It seems that despite the pair being spotted acting friendly in bathing suits, Elizarova affirms she is in a serious relationship with a businessman.

Indeed, Benedict Cumberbatch is reportedly only giving her advice on her burgeoning acting career, something the "Sherlock" star is more than knowledgeable on.

"I want to be a serious actress so I need all the guidance I can get. Benedict is very supportive and gives me lots of tips," continues Elizarova.

According to Fashion & Style, Katia Elizarova will make her acting debut in the play "Sunstroke," which Benedict Cumberbatch apparently coached her on.

"I've no theatrical experience, although I have done film. They gave me the role because I am so Russian. We have a tendency to traumatize everything and have a reputation for being quite dark," says the Russian model.

"I have just got my script and began rehearsals. Ben has been a great help, but he is very strict."
