Apple iPhone 5S Specs, Release Date: Features Dual LED Flash For Photos, 'Square' Mode Camera For Instagram-Like Photos?

Apple is rumored to unveil the iPhone 5S on September 10, and the internet is teeming with speculation on what the iPhone 5S will feature, including its specifications. Will the iPhone 5S feature dual LED flash for photos, and different modes for the new camera?

Readwrite.com reports that last week, rumors surfaced saying the iPhone 5S will have dual LED flash for photos. The different flashes will be white and an off-yellow, designed for taking "natural" looking pictures indoors.

The new Apple iPhone will also have four different camera modes through iOS 7, the new operating system. There will be a "square" mode to take Instagram-like photos, a video mode, a panorama mode and the normal point-and-shoot mode, Readwrite.com reports. Users will be able to toggle between the modes on the camera with a side flick of the app.

The website reports that the iPhone 5S will likely have a camera of at least 8 megapixels, and hopefully more.  Motorola's new Moto X smartphone has a 10MP camera while the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 13MP camera.

Speaking of the iOS 7, the new design of the operating system will feature a "flat design" that is quite distinct from what consumers are used to seeing on today's iPhones and iPads, Readwrite.com reports.

Flat designs depart from the the real-life characteristics of apps, and instead look more futuristic and cartoon-like. For example, the bookshelves in the Newsstand app are replaced with a series of blue rows. The Notes app no longer features a yellow legal pad, but now is a simple white on black design, Readwrite notes.

Curious iPhone users can test out the iOS 7, which is available for download through the beta version.
