K-pop Girl Group SKarf Showcase in Singapore: A Memorable Night To Remember, "We Had Fun!"

On August 11, the five members from SKarf, namely Tasha, Ferlyn, Hana, JooA and Jenny were at the Kallang Theatre in Singapore for the first time for their showcase. This was their first ever showcase since they debuted on August 14, 2012.

Many of their fans were very excited and eager to see them as many of them were at the Kallang Theatre way before the showcase. Before the door was opened, they were all gathering outside buying merchandises such as albums, posters, picture cards and lightsticks and getting ready for the showcase.

At about 7.15pm, the showcase officially started. The showcase commenced with the emcee playing a game session with the crowd. The game was played with five players chosen from the audience and they were to answer some simple questions related to the main sponsor GIANT. After that, it was finally time for SKarf to perform. Dressed in glow-in-the-dark outfits, the group started the evening with their recently released song 'Love Virus' followed by 'Oh! Dance'. After the performances, they did their self-introduction. Hana introduced herself and said, "I'm missing you guys!" All her fans were screaming away upon hearing that. Ferlyn thanked her fans and family. When asked how she was feeling, she replied that she felt weird to perform in front of her family and friends for the first time. Leader Tasha also added, "Thank you guys for being here with us for our first showcase and words are not enough to express myself how glad I am to be here today."

After the introduction, they performed 'Bye Bye Bye', followed by 'Sunny Day', a special stage with Ferlyn playing the guitar. A short video titled 'SKarf D-day Story' was played after the special stage where SKarf talked and shared their feeling about their preparation for this first showcase. The video also teased the fans with their practise. When the video ended, Tasha and Ferlyn appeared on stage with their dance performance that showcased their powerful dance moves. Next was Jenny's and Hana's  performance. They did a dance cover of 'Barbie Girl' where they were both dressed in very adorable outfits. Just when the fans thought that they had finished performing, both of them ripped off their adorable outfits that "transformed" into their sexy outfit to dance to PSY's 'Gentleman'.  JooA also did her own solo song cover of 'On my own'. Her awesome vocal made it looked as if the audience was all at her musical. After JooA's performance, it was time for another game session with the fans. This time, all the fans got the chance to play "Scissors, Paper, and Stone" with all the five members from SKarf. The last man standing won a chance to take a group photo with them on stage.

As it was Hana's birthday the following day, the fans surprised her on stage with a birthday cake.  Upon seeing it, Hana was so touched that she shed tears of joy. When asked to make a wish, adorable Hana exclaimed "SKarf jjang!". She excitedly continued with "3, 2, 1.." and blew the candle. She revealed that she was shocked and touched to see the cake. Before she ended her thank you message, she asked the fans to support SKarf and herself. She then gestured a big heart and said "I love you".

After the birthday surprise, Skarf played the last game session with fans. The fans were asked questions relating to SKarf and they guessed if it was true or false. Five winners were picked after the game where they had the chance to be fed and feed BBQ meat by and to their favourite member. These five winners also had a dance battle with each other after SKarf demonstrated a small part of their dance. The fan who received the most applause won a chance to take photo with all the members of SKarf.

SKarf went on to perform another song 'My Turn' from their first mini album and remained on stage after the song to have a heart-to-heart talk with the fans. Tasha expressed their appreciation and thanked all the fans for their support. She sincerely said, "All your efforts are not gone unnoticed. We actually know. It's strength to us! Please continue to support us..." Ferlyn revealed that they put in a lot of efforts for this showcase and joked, "If I remove my makeup, you can see the dark circles." Lastly she took the opportunity to wish her father "Happy Birthday!" JooA showed her shyness as she said "I love you!" to all her fans in different languages and thanked them for their support. Jenny exclaimed excitedly in Korean, "After seeing so many supportive fans, I always want to come to Singapore. Please do love me. Thank you!" Hana who did not know how to express herself, asked if the fans know her heart where the audience responded positively. When they finished, a huge cake was being pushed out by five of their hard-core fans to celebrate SKarf's first year anniversary. The audience sang the birthday song in English followed by Korean language. SKarf was all very surprised and grateful for what their fans had done for them. The emcee asked Tasha what wish she has made for SKarf and Tasha joked, "It's a secret! It won't come true if I tell you right?"

Time passed really fast as it was time for their last performance for the day. They performed Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' and said that this was a special last stage only exclusively for the fans in Singapore. A video titled 'Letter for SG fans' was played after their performance. Their encore performance 'My Love' was dedicated specially for all their fans and family members. The showcase had finally come to a conclusion after a solo dance special by each of the members.

It was a memorable evening for SKarf and all who attended this showcase. All their fans enjoyed themselves very much and look forward for them to come back to Singapore again.  After the showcase, SKarf will be promoting their follow up song 'Anymore' in Korea. Tasha and Ferlyn mentioned that this journey is tough but SKarf will be putting in more effort to work doubly hard to make their 'Dreams Come True'.
