K-Drama ‘Good Doctor’ Joo Won Has Difficulty with Savant Syndrome Acting

Actor Joo Won shared his acting troubles to singer Sung Si Kyung.

On a recent episode of KBS 2TV "Happy Sunday 1 Night 2 Days" Joo Won and Sung Si Kyung had a conversation while walking along Gangneung Baugil.

On this day, Joo Won talked about his lead role on KBS 2TV drama "Good Doctor," and said, "Savant syndrome acting is really difficult." Savant syndrome is a condition in which a person with serious mental disabilities demonstrates prodigious capabilities that are far in excess of what would be considered normal. Joo Won's character, Park Shi On, has autistic disorder and is socially awkward, but is a genius when it comes to practicing medicine. Joo Won has represented the character perfectly, but he says that there were many difficulties and struggling along the way.

To this Sung Si Kyung mentioned actor Moon Chae Won, who appeared on the last show. He said, "'Good Doctor' must be a success. Especially since Moon Chae Won is in it."

You can tune in to "1 Night 2 Days" on August 18 to hear more about Joo Won's struggles.
