Sony has officially announced the launch date for its PlayStation 4 console will be on November. It will be an advantage for the Japanese company but the major factor lies on its software to eventually become ahead of its competitors.

Rob Crossley said, "Sony has made fantastic progress as it prepares to release the PS4, but the consoles still lacks a show-stopping exclusive game." Rob Crossley is the Associate Editor at the Computer and Video Games news site, after the announcement last Gamescom's trade fair in Cologne.

Most experts however strongly feels the sooner it is released the better just in time for the upcoming holidays. However games expert consultant from IDC, Lewis Ward, thinks otherwise and expressed that the launch date is of limited importance. He said, "If it turns out that the PS4 goes on sale a week before the Xbox One, for example, then clearly Sony will have time to itself to make some hay." He added, "But until we know when Microsoft is going to land and I'm not sure what putting the date out there does much beyond making a news story - it won't change people's buying intentions."

The electronics giant Sony claimed it had more than one million pre-sale orders of its latest console globally. Sony disclosed that 32 countries can buy the PS4 just in time for the holiday season in Christmas.

Among the PS4 games launched in Germany includes Shadow of the Beast, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, and Mine Craft. Price-cut is to be expected among some of its PS4 titles such as Shadow of the Beast. Its hand held console Play Station Vita will have a price-cut as well.
