DMX Arrested Again: Third Time In One Year - Cop Recognizes Rapper, Knows Warrant For His Arrest, Marijuana In Car [VIDEO]

DMX arrested again for the third time in 2013 after police allegedly found bags of marijuana in the car he was a passenger inside of.

South Carolina police said they noticed a warrant out for DMX stemming from a previous case of driving without a license a month ago. This time, they told the rapper that he had to go jail. Instead, he was arrested again.

A police report showed that the officers thought DMX smelt like alcohol and weed. The 42-year-old rapper, whose real name Earl Simmons, was with his assistants Shawn Durham and Shawn Rhodes when he was arrested, rep, Domenick Nati said in a statement.

"No drugs were found on DMX or the other passengers and the alleged bags of marijuana were never shown to DMX or the other passengers," he said.

Police said the F350 truck made an illegal lane change, according to TMZ, though the Associated Press said it was an illegal U-turn. One of the officers recognized the rapper and knew there was a warrant out for his arrest, thus the arrest took place.

"Though officers pulled them over for a minor traffic violation, DMX was asked to step outside so they can search the vehicle. Officers then claimed that they found bags of marijuana in the floorboard and arrested," Nati told The Los Angeles Times in a statement.

The officers found a bag of weed on the armrest where DMX was sitting. After searching the car, they found three more bags of weed.
