Kindle Fire Release Date 2013: Amazon's Next Generation Reportedly On Its Way To Shock The Market

This fall, expect the tablet competition to be as tight as ever, as Amazon launches its next generation Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD models.

Banking from its success with the early models, the company has been reportedly gearing up for a launch before the end of the year. And because it aims to compete with other tablets and phablets for the Christmas season, Amazon has certainly beefed up the specifications.

According to trusted sources by BGR, the company will release an entry level tablet, and two larger models to replace the current flagship which is the Kindle Fire HD. The reports said a 7-inch tablet is currently under way. The new generation Kindle Fire HD model will feature 1,920x1,200p resolution, and a quadcore Snapdragon 800 Qualcomm processor which has four Krait 400 CPUs, pretty high-end for Amazon's next tablet.

It will also include 2GB of RAM, a front camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, and even cellular availability. According to sources, it will ship with variations of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storage. The tablet will also come out with Android 4.2.2 Jellybean out of the box.

Meanwhile, the larger sibling is measured at 8.9 inches, and boasts a crisp 2,560 by 1,600 pixel density. It will also have the same CPU and processor, 2GB of RAM, and optional cellular support, Wi-Fi, and a rear-view camera - one thing missing from the smaller Kindle tablet.

BGR says Amazon will most likely stick to its current pricetable in order to retain old consumers, and lure in potential buyers as well. The entry level tablet will be available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB variations while the two larger models will have 16GB, 32GB and 64GB options for internal storage.
