Lolo Jones Twitter Comment Shows She’s Ready for Her Closeup in Her Acting Debut; Can the Olympic Athlete Take Home the Gold at the Oscars?

Lolo Jones Twitter comment says she only has eight words in her acting debut, but she is ready for her Academy Award nomination.

Lolo Jones is best known as one of the top track and field stars and recently took a spot with the U.S. bobsled team for the upcoming Winter Olympics, but she is branching even further as she makes her acting debut.

Lolo Jones will make a cameo appearance in the 2014 release of the movie “Left Behind,” which stars Nicolas Cage. The movie is the second take on the popular book series. The first version of the film starred Kirk Cameron. Lolo Jones fans might miss her appearance in they blink though.

Lolo Jones took to Twitter to comment on the upcoming role, tweeting “u guys are good. I'm a gate attendant. I have ten words. Really 8. I counted Mr. Williams as 2 words to increase Oscar chances #LeftBehind”

Lolo Jones has a bit part in the upcoming Nicolas Cage movie “Left Behind,” which tells the story of what life will be like after the Rapture. The Rapture is a fairly new interpretation of the Bible that says right before the end of the world all Christians will ascend from the earth, leaving just the sinners and infidels behind. Lolo Jones co-stars took to Twitter to comment on her new role as movie star.

Lolo Jones Twitter comments about the film included meeting the star of the movie, Francis Ford Coppola’s nephew, Nicholas Cage. Lolo Jones tweeted “Nicolas Cage sat next to me during makeup & my head bout spun round lke GhostRider BUT I "ACTED" cool. learning this craft fast #LeftBehind”

It was a lucky coincidence that won Lolo Jones the role in “Left Behind.” The producers heard that Lolo Jones happened to be in Baton Rouge for training while the movie was shooting. The producer contacted Lolo Jones, who jumped any hurdles that might have been in the way of her acting debut.

At the 2012 London Olympics, Lolo Jones ran to the front of the pack to become one of the most popular athletes. A lot of that was backlash to the bad luck she suffered at the 2008 Olympics. Lolo Jones was a favorite to win the 100 meter hurdles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She had a comfortable lead and was sprinting to a gold medal when she took a tumble on one of the hurdles. Lolo Jones fell to seventh place.

Last summer Lolo Jones attempted to overcome the loss, but fell short of the gold. The U.S. bobsled Olympic team tapped Lolo Jones with the idea that she could be a runner. Lolo Jones made the squad after tryouts and finally won a gold medal in January with the bobsled team at the World Championships.
