Now that "The Legend of Korra" Book 2 is confirmed for September 13, the recent web series "Republic City Hustle" has been released in full.

"This short was written by 'Korra' writer Tim Hedrick and designed by Evon Freeman. It's a fun, different style for the Avatar universe. And you get a peek into Mako and Bolin's life on the streets when they were younger," writes "The Legend of Korra" co-creator Michael DiMartino regarding "Republic City Hustle."

Part 1 of "Republic City Hustle" shows Mako and Bolin attempting to survive the streets, and encounter earthbender Toza.

Part 2 of "The Legend of Korra" web series details Bolin meeting fire ferret Pabu for the first time.

Evon Freeman's designs are a truly wonderful addition to "The Legend of Korra" universe. Co-creator Michael DiMartino agrees, and has taken the time to show off the character designs.

"I was really really fortunate to do some character designs for the shorts that just released for 'Legend of Korra!' Bryan asked if I would design them in my own style and I practically melted!!! (Baby Pabu was my favorite!!!) So here's some of the work that I did," writes Freeman on her Tumblr.
