Last Friday night, prior to the Sunday night award show at the Barclay Center, the Bajan babe and Canadian rapper were seen having a good time over dinner and drinks at the infamous Beauty and Essex in New York.
An insider told the New York Post that they seemed to be really enjoying the company of one another.
“They were in very good spirits and were dancing and singing. Drake and Rihanna seemed to be just friends enjoying a fun night out,” said the source according to IBT.
However, the two entertainers just might be friends since it was also reported that a third party of the female sex was present. Additionally, Drizzy and RiRi left separately.
Then again, following their attendance at a VMA's after party hosted by Beyonce and Jay-Z at PDH Rooftop, Drake was caught leaving within minutes of Rihanna's departure.
Back in July, another insider told UK magazine that the singer and emcee were rekindling a relationship.
"She really missed him in that time - yes, they went out years before but he was also a good friend to her - so calling him was one of the first things she did when she realized she was over Chris."
According to belfasttelegraph.co.uk, a friend close to Drake said the rapper preconceived the break up.
"[Drake's been] waiting patiently on the sidelines," the insider said.
The source also mention how Rihanna has now been wondering whether she made the wrong decision by picking Chris over Drake. However does she deserve a second chance and should Drake settle for rebound?
Who knows, but this close source is leaving the perception that the two are rapidly rekindling a romance.
"Since that first phone call they've been talking again a lot and have such a connection."
