K-pop Stars and Their Favorite American Singers

If you make it in America, you can make it anywhere. And those artists that are household names are legends, music icons and it's no wonder many K-pop artists strive to be like them. Just like any other human being on earth, there are always people you look up to, people whose careers you want to emulate. Let's take a look at our favorite K-pop artists and their favorite American music stars.

There's no one in this world that can deny the queen that is Beyonce's talent, stage charisma, and overall superstardom. People try to mimic her career and her iconic diva ways, but you can't so you do the next big thing: attempt to be someone as big or as daring like Queen B. K-pop stars LOVE Beyonce and they have every right to look at the world's current and biggest star in awe and wonderment. In an interview with SURE magazine, Hyorin said that that she wants "to be like Beyonce who sings in small hospitals to the patients and sends love and support to them." Everyone from SISTAR to Ailee has done immaculate covers of some of Beyonce's hit songs and if Beyonce could hear, she'd be proud.

Usher is every Korean R&B artists' favorite star. Jay Park once said in an interview during his APHAM Verizon tour that if he could collaborate with any American music star it would be the one and only Usher. And the two should! They both dance, sing, and have chocolate abs, what's not to love about that? Superstar singer, Rain has also have said to be a huge fan of the "Nice & Slow" singer.

The princess of all that is strange, daring, and fearless, Lady Gaga is huge in Korean with not only fans but with K-pop stars alike! Back in 2012, during a video conference with Universal Music Singapore, 2AM's Jo Kwon said, "Of course I would love to with Lady Gaga any day!" Can you imagine a Jo Kwon and Lady Gaga collab? The world would implode with flamboyancy and happiness! Fun fact: JoKwon named his dog after the "Born This Way" legend.

If you're a singer or dancer and you don't look up to Michael Jackson, then something is clearly wrong with you. The King that is Michael Jackson is thee model for all that is great in pop music and K-pop stars are clearly aware of his power, his influence, and his perfect career. K-pop idols have shown much respect to the King of pop and every singer from Rain to Jay Park to Brian from Fly to the Sky, to 2PM, to Lee Seung Gi, JY Park, to B2ST, to Mblaq, and Super Junior have shown their love for the "Thriller" icon and you could see some of their tributes below!
