Nexus 10 2 Release Date Set Before Holiday Season 2013; Asus Producing The Next-Gen Tablet Instead Of Samsung?

A number of possible Nexus 10 2 release dates are emerging in the mobile world nowadays. In fact, a report about a September Nexus 10 2 release date (that's next month!) is already swirling around online.

Christian Today posted about Nexus 10 2 release date as early as September, since the IFA 2013 technology showcase is set to happen during that month. Although there are no exact Nexus 10 2 release date yet confirmed by Google, Emir Efrait of the Wall Street Journal posted a tweet before that read, "Expect to see new 10-inch Nexus 10 Android tablet (made by @Samsung) in the near future, Google's @sundarpichai tells me." This led experts to anticipate that Nexus 10 2 will be ready in the market before or perfectly in time for the holiday and the gift-giving season.

However, despite previous reports about Samsung developing the Nexus 10 2, the rumor mill is now reporting that Google is working together with Asus for the design of the next-generation of Nexus 10. This new development about Nexus 10 2, though still unofficial, originated from Russel Holly at Geek.com, as reported by iDigital Times. He explained the process by which Google creates it Nexus devices.

Reportedly, "Google's Nexus program is something of a bidding war in the planning stages. Multiple companies submit designs to Google, who then evaluate which device they want to carry the Nexus branding for the next year. These devices demonstrate Google's vision for Android, free of carrier modifications and OEM software."

Furthermore, news suggest that the alleged Asus-built Nexus 10 2 release date will be set around the fourth quarter of this year. Nexus 10 2 will most likely arrive with higher resolution, better processor and apps supported for larger screen.
