Lady Gaga Twitter Beef Continues With Azealia Banks Claiming Mother Monster Is Jacking Her 'Seapunk' Mermaid Style
Although she says no names, Azealia Banks continues to beef with Lady Gaga over Twitter.
The Harlem emcee kept up her social media rant on Thursday, just after blaming the Mother Monster for jacking her mermaid style.
Self-proclaiming herself as the "Queen of the Underground," Yung Rapunzel implied those who are above ground, such as the "Queen of the Monsters" copy her swag.
"The overground stealing from the underground is nothing new," the "212" rapper tweeted.
QUEEN OF THE UNDERGROUND.

Banks adds that she isn't afraid to speak up when her originality is being threaten by others in the industry.
"I see so many underground girls get stolen from by pop acts, yet they're too scared to say anything for fear of being disliked," said the lyricist. "And then they get swallowed up and forgotten...NOT EYE."

Meanwhile, Gaga credits her love for reading as the origin for her new seashell girl style.

After Banks was allegedly cut from Gaga's upcoming "ARTPOP" album, the Yung Rapunzel took to Twitter claiming Mother Monster was jacking her style. According to Oh No They Didn't, Lady Gaga announced last week that the "212" female emcee will not be a feature on her "ARTPOP." After Gaga tweeted a under the sea tribute dress code in effort to promote her headline appearance at the iTunes Festival this week, Banks began with the style jocking accusations.
I will be providing a list of acceptable attire for #SwineFest throughout the week. Item 1: Seashells. Item 2: Seahorses 3: Starfish — Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) August 28, 2013
Of COURSE gaga wants to play mermaid again..... Pffft. — AZEALIA BANKS (@AZEALIABANKS) August 28, 2013
Banks assured that she wasn't trying to stir the pot by attempting to make a case and point.
Not picking a fight. Just all looks soo familiar.... To me. — AZEALIA BANKS (@AZEALIABANKS) August 28, 2013
It's just .... Late. — AZEALIA BANKS (@AZEALIABANKS) August 28, 2013
Even Cosmopolitan magazine spotted the "Applause" singer rocking the mermaid look above water.
So...Lady Gaga is on a mission to look like a mermaid: https://t.co/WsMwwPvpKj pic.twitter.com/TInN8wMnWy — Cosmopolitan (@Cosmopolitan) August 28, 2013
Gaga replied to the implication with a gif of Disney princess Ariel, the original mermaid.

There is a possibility that Banks may need to retract her statement because Gaga did in fact rock the mermaid tail way before the rapper came to the mainstream.
