More Criminal Minds Season 9 spoilers are popping up online, and a number of them suggest that fans will be able to see a lot of flashbacks of your favorite characters in the hit CBS show.

One of the Criminal Minds Season 9 spoilers, as posted in Carter Matt, revealed that the upcoming season will depict a deeper look into the character of Penelope Garcia. Criminal Minds Season 9 will show the origin story of Garcia.

Viewers will be brought to the time, as noted by Gather,"when Garcia met Hotch during "a present day case where she's up against her old hacker world."" Erica Messer, the producer of the show, also revealed some juicy Criminal Minds Season 9 spoilers, saying, "we'll finally meet the guy who owned her heart long before we met her."

As for more Criminal Minds Season 9 spoilers, it is said that a new character will arrive to the BAU, in the name of Matt Cruz, who will be played by Esai Morales. According to reports, Matt Cruz will enter the season in episode 3, who will be the new unit chief.

However, what is more interesting is that Cruz shared a past with Jennifer "JJ" Jareau, during the time when she was working for the FBI in Season 6. Messer, sharing more details about these Criminal Minds Season 9 spoilers, said that the 200th episode, which is a huge milestone for the series, will answer all question about the previous relationship. The producer said, as cited in the Carter Matt post, "People will wonder, 'Did they have an affair? What's going on?' And all of that will pay off in our 200th episode, when we deal with the time JJ was away [during Season 6]."

Criminal Minds will air on CBS on September 25.
