Victoria Beckham's Bike Gets Stolen In NYC: Learn To Lock It Up Properly, Posh! [PHOTO]

Victoria Beckham got her bicycle stolen this week in New York City. Even stars aren't immune, apparently. However, the incident might have been partly Posh's fault.

The star revealed on Twitter

"So I won't be riding home tonight then! x vb," she tweeted on Sept. 5. Beckham posted a snap of one lonely wheel of the bike lying on the sidewalk, still locked to a bike rack.

However, from the photo it was obvious that Posh hadn't used proper caution for NYC's mean streets. Victoria had only locked the front wheel to the bike rack...not the frame, or the frame and the back wheel, or the frame and the front wheel.

In short, she'd chosen pretty much the least theft-proof way to "lock" up her ride...and anyone who's ever biked in NYC knows that they get stolen in the blink of an eye-as well as lights, parts, and seats.

Fan aurotrinicastelli agreed, commenting on Instagram:

How smart of you to lock the front wheel. Next time the frame, maybe? @victoriabeckham #stolen #intelligence #qi #lostabike #getabrain

The next day, Victoria, 39, posted, "Searching for the missing bike! X vb," she captioned, alongside a picture of a city police car.

Riiiight. Because New York City police have time to go looking for a missing bike.

Victoria has been busy during Fashion Week, but lives mostly in LA these days. The singer-turned-fashion-designer recently moved to LA from London with husband David Beckham and their kids, sons Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, 8, and daughter Harper, 21 months

The former Spice Girl has been heating up NYC for with her own special blend of fashion for New York Fashion Week. She's going to show off her spring 2014 collections; her Victoria Beckham line on Sunday, Sept. 8, and her Victoria, Victoria Beckham collection on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

What do you think? Should Victoria Beckham have locked her bike up properly....or was it an easy mistake to make? Sound off below!
