Lee Hyori Gives Her First Interview Since Marrying Lee Sang Soon

It was the talk of K-pop fans everywhere-- Lee Hyori's September wedding to Rollercoaster guitarist Lee Sang Soon.

And Hyori's reality show documenting her life leading up to the big day, "Lee Hyori XUnni," only fanned the flames of speculation of when, where and if the wedding was happening.

In the end, Hyori and Lee Sang Soon opted for a small ceremony on the Island of Jeju on September 1, with a few close friends and family members, a decision that seems to have suited the couple just fine.

The former Fin.K.L singer surprised the host of the South Korean radio show "Midday Hopeful Song," on Tuesday with her first interview since getting married, when she called into the show unexpectedly.

"I thought the married life would be different, but it's pretty similar," Lee Hyori said. "Everyone said marriage is different, but I'm not sure so far."

Yet there is one major difference to being married, the "Bad Girls" singer admitted; she doesn't feel alone anymore.

"Before getting married, there were some lonely times," Hyori said. "But now, it feels like there's always someone on my side."

The singer, who told host Kim Shin Young she was bringing her dogs outside to run around during the interview, also revealed who handles the cooking in her house.

"Lee Sang Soon makes all the food," Hyori said. "Since he [prepares it], he won't wreck it."

Last week, the singer apologized to any friends, fans or reporters who may have felt snubbed by the couple's decision to keep the wedding private, on her website Hyori Together.

"I wrote this because many people must be curious about how my wedding went. I'm sorry that my unavoidable choice to keep it private made many people feel sad...I also heard that there were lots of reporters there," her statement read.

"Since it was such an important day to my life, I wanted to be an ordinary daughter and daughter-in-law to family and close friends of ours. I hope you understand my choice."

Lee also included a description of her feelings on the big day.

"I was worried it would rain but the weather was nice, and [Lee Sang Soon and I] and our friends worked hard for several days to set up everything ourselves but it made our day even more meaningful and joyful," her statement added.
