MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 Release Date: Predictions Fail After Apple Keynote Revealed No Hints Of When New Laptop W/ Haswell Processors Will Be Launched

MacBook Pro Retina Display’s 2013 release date was expected yesterday, but it was non-existent in the Apple keynote that presented the new iPhones – iPhone 5S and iPhone C, and the iOS 7 release date. The new set of rumors are now pointing to an October release date for the Apple laptop, with some reports suggesting that it will be launched this October together with the OS X Mavericks.

According to 9 to 5 Mac, the delay on the OS X Mavericks release is caused by Apple focusing on the iOS 7 launch. The mobile OS will officially be available for download on September 18. The Cupertino tech giant was in a rush to get the iOS 7 off the table. The blog site said, that after iOS 7, Apple will now be able to focus on the OS X Mavericks.

The International Business Times earlier reported, the day before the September 10 keynote, that consumers waiting for the new MacBook Pro retina display with Intel Haswell processors would have to wait until October to get the device.

The delay on launch of the MacBoo Pro is similar to why the OS X Mavericks release date was pushed – a heightened company-wide focus on the launch of the new iPhones and iOS 7.

Many Apple fans have also been waiting for the release of a new line of MacBook Pro and the company is also expected to launch the new version of the laptop this year featuring Intel Haswell processors and full HD FaceTime camera.

Gotta Be Mobile earlier reported that the updated processor in the Retina MacBook Pros will support 4K display. The new high-resolution displays, however, are expected by many to be 4x better than standard HD screens.

Though the Sept. 10 keynote didn’t give any hints on when the new laptop will arrive, there are still hints that the new MacBooks are coming to town. One of them is Best Buy’s move to slash prices of the current MacBook models by up to $200.

The tactic is usually applied to unload inventory of what will soon to be an older model of a particular gadget or device.
