Movie Sequels Coming Out [Part 2]: Thor The Dark World, Captain America The Winter Soldier, Avengers Age of Ultron; Plenty of Superheroes To Hit The Big Screen!

Movie sequels coming out that movie-goers are highly anticipating include a number of fantasy films, such as Jurassic World and Transformers: Age of Extinction.  But superheroes seem to be everywhere.  Below are three much-awaited follow-ups to high-profile superhero films!

THOR: THE DARK WORLD.  Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is coming back, and so is his villain of a brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the rest of the Asgardians, along with his love interest Jane Foster (Natalie Portman).

Says Marvel, "Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all."

The movie, set after the events in Avengers, will hit theaters on Nov. 8.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER.  To be shown on April 4 of next year, Chris Evans will return as Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America.  Revealed in the D23 Expo, the plot of the movie was quoted by ComingSoon.net:

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy-the Winter Soldier.

The movie also stars Scarlett Johansson,Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Robert Redford, and Samuel L. Jackson

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.  The much-awaited sequel to Marvel's Avengers welcomes back Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man (Robert Downy, Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America (Chris Evans), Dr. Bruce Banner a.k.a. The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Clint Barton a.k.a. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Palthrow).  They have to face and defeat supervillain Ultron (James Spader).

Marvel says in its website, "James Spader will face off against Earth's Mightiest Heroes as the villain in Marvel's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron,' the sequel to 2012's record-breaking 'Marvel's The Avengers.'"

The film will be shown in theaters on May 1, 2015.

There are more movie sequels in the works, among which are Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Terminator Reboot, Man of Steel 2, and quite a number of others.
