TVXQ Changmin's Japanese Film Debut 'Fly With The Gold' To Be Released In Korea Oct. 10

TVXQ member Changmin won praise (and a couple awards) for his Japanese big screen debut earlier this year, and now the film is headed to Korean theaters.

In the Japanese crime thriller, Fly with the Gold, Changmin plays a North Korean spy name Momo who poses as an engineering student and later joins a group planning a gold heist.

The role earned the K-Pop idol the Rookie Award at the Japan Movie Critics Awards ceremony and another for Best Supporting Actor at the Japan Academy Awards. He was also the first Korean ever nominated for a Hochi Film Award.

Fly with the Gold was released late last year in Japan and raked in over $4 million in box office sales in just the first three weeks.

Now the film is ready to hit theaters across South Korea. According to the film's local distributer Doki Entertainment, the confirmed release date is October 10. The official Korean movie poster was also revealed earlier this week.

Fly with the Gold stars TVXQ's Changmin along with popular Japanese actors Satoshi Tsumabuki, Tadanobu Asano, and Kiritani Kenta.
