But, the one thing fans continue to discuss is the air date of "Sherlock" season 3, and currently, there is no confirmed air date for the series.

Earlier, IMDB used an October 2013 air date for the "Sherlock" season 3 premiere episode, "His Empty Hearse." Although it was only a placeholder date, it caused quite a stir amongst fans.

Since then, a January 2014 air date has also been making the rounds on the Internet thanks to Twitter user Blogtor Who, who is reportedly a generally reliable source for spoilers and leaks.

Since then, the creative team behind "Sherlock" have neither confirmed nor firmly denied this air date, so fans will still have to wait to know when their favorite show is coming back.
