f(x)'s Krystal Discusses Her Upcoming Role As Lee Bo Na In 'The Heirs': 'I Did My Best To Become My Character' Singer Says

Singer Krystal Jung of the K-pop girl group f(x) discussed the devotion she felt to her character in the much-anticipated drama "The Heirs," which premieres on the Seoul Broadcasting System on October 9.

Krystal plays Lee Bo Na, the teen heiress to an entertainment corporation.

"I did my best to become my character," the 18-year-old singer-turned-actress told the publication eNEWS on Monday.

"I'll continue to work hard until I can blend into Lee Bo Na's character and even start thinking and talking like her."

Representatives for the production company "The Heirs," Hwa and Dam Pictures, released a statement praising Krystal's performance on the show.

"Krystal, who has been showing her charms in both the music and television worlds, focused on her character, Lee Bo Na, showing natural and tightly knit acting," the statement read.

Back in August, Krystal discussed f(x)'s set at KCON, the annual two-day K-pop festival in Los Angeles, just minutes before the band went onstage, with Billboard Magazine.

"We're performing our new song 'Rum Pum Pum Pum,' 'Electric Shock' and 'Hot Summer,'" Krystal explained.

"The reason why we're performing them is that 'Rum Pum Pum Pum' is our new song; it's our first time performing it in the States. 'Electric Shock' is really noisy. And we're performing 'Hot Summer' because it's so hot outside."

The group's performance was met with screams of ecstasy from the KCON crowd.

Krystal's f(x) bandmate Victoria Song, 26, opened about the now-famous video clip the group made with "Twilight" actress Anna Kendrick.

"It was fun," Victoria said. "To be able to collaborate with a star like Anna Kendrick was an honor. We were able to balance out recording in English because we have English-speaking members."

Singer Luna of f(x), whose real name is Park Sun Young, claims the success of the group's recent single "Rum Pum Pum Pum" took the band members by surprise.

"We were really happy and when we first heard the news we were really surprised," said the 20-year-old singer.

"The fact that we are receiving so much love and attention from fans from all over the world is an amazing feeling."

Amber Liu of f(x), 20, says the success of "Rum Pum Pum Pum" just shows how big K-pop is becoming globally.

"Speaking for K-pop, it shows how global a group can be," Amber said.

"It's crazy. I was actually freaked out when I saw that. I'm glad the fans still love it and we want to do everything we can."
