Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have finally called it quits, rep from both parties confirmed earlier today.

For weeks now, rumors about the breakup between "Wrecking Ball" singer and "Hunger Games" star has been circulating online. Though there have been no confirmations, many believed that their relationships are on the rock.

Just over the weekend, Miley made a bold move by unfollowing her fiance from Twitter. This raise more questions as to the status of their relationship.

There are no confirmed reasons why "We Can't Stop" singer unfollowed her fiance that day. However, a source close to Miley revealed to Hollywood Life, "She unfollowed him to send him a message that she’s serious about being done this time. They’ve had fights before but they’ve always kept it secret, so it’s been easy to go back and forth. Making it public takes it to a whole new level.”

However, today, the two finally ended the rumors.

They have broken up. According to the rep from both parties who told People that the two "have called off their engagement." This has also been confirmed to ABC News.

After the confirmation, Liam Hemsworth reportedly unfollowed Miley, too, from Twitter - which only confirms the news even more.

However, one source reported to RadarOnline.com, "They've split for now. Miley and Liam have a very tumultuous relationship and both are exhausted. It’s a complicated relationship. The wedding is on hold, for now. It’s not cancelled but it doesn’t look promising."

While the supposed source only said that the wedding is not yet cancelled, unfollowing each other from Twitter may say otherwise, right?

Almost everyone thinks the breakup is about to come. Many just try speculate when with everything that's going on recently. But, the more important question here is WHY?
