The girl group Jewelry appeared for an interview in traditional Korean dresses. It was a nice change to see them in clean and neat Korean dresses as opposed to their usual charismatic stage attire.

Jewelry members have a reputation of being easygoing and good-natured. Their traditional Korean dresses makes the holiday season feel a little more festive. They shared their childhood stories of how they would spend the holidays with their families.

"There's really no occasion for us to wear traditional Korean dresses. But since I'm wearing this Korean dress with pretty colors, I really feel like it's Korean Thanksgiving. (Laughter) When you think of the holidays, you can't forget about the holiday food. I'm excited just thinking about my mom's Korean-style meatballs and Pollack pancake." (Yewon)

The members will get to spend this Thanksgiving with their families. They're all so eager to meet with friends and families, especially Semi, who will meet her large family of 20 people. Semi was the most excited to meet her family members and relatives, since she is very close with them.

"I'm going to Yongin to see my family. My relatives are like my actual sisters and brothers, and we always count down the days until we can meet again. I'm already looking forward to talk about all the things we couldn't share on account of our busy schedules. And when the holidays roll around, it's always fun to make holiday food together. I really love sitting in a circle with everyone and making honey-filled rice cakes. I enjoy that feeling. I'm excited just thinking about it. (Laughter)" (Semi)

When asked about their favorite holiday foods, the members each named one food they especially like. Yewon chose Pollack pancake, Semi chose chestnut, Eunjung chose half-moon shaped rice cake, and Baby J chose sweet rice drink. Each one of them was very eager to talk about their favorite foods.

"My mother is especially talented in cooking. Since I was little, she's always prepared all the holiday food by herself. In those times, I would stand by her side, run some errands, and eagerly munch on all the foods. (Laughter) I personally like sweet rice drink the best. My mother's drink is on a whole different level than the ones they sell in stores. Oh, I'm getting hungry. (Laughter)" (Baby J)

"I really like half-moon shaped rice cakes. Isn't rice cake the star of Korean Thanksgiving foods? (Laughter) I don't know about anything else, but our family always makes rice cakes. It's really fun to sit around with the relatives and make these half-moon shaped rice cakes. And of course! As each year goes by, we all improve in our rice cake making skills, so you kind of feel good about yourself. This year I'm going to try my hand at making a masterpiece. (Laughter)" (Eunjung)

For the Jewelry members who boast doll-like figures, these high-calorie holiday foods must be burdensome. How will they go about their diet?

"I'm all about eating the delicious foods first and thinking about diets later. It's the holiday. You have to enjoy the feeling. I'm going to have fun eating everything, and suffer later. (Laughter) If I don't eat at home, then the adults worry that I don't eat well. I don't want to make them worry about my food intake, so when I go home I try to eat as much as I can." (Yewon)

Although Jewelry will be spending Thanksgiving Day with their families, they will be traveling to Japan after the weekend. They will be performing with A Pink at the Korean Japan Culture Festival on September 22. They could easily complain about their shortened holiday, but Jewelry members are happy when they think about their fans in Japan.

"Until now, there weren't many opportunities to go to Japan because I didn't really have any obligations there. I think I went once (?) because of a concert. I'm looking forward to the trip just thinking about meeting all the fans in Japan. It'll be a long awaited meet, and Jewelry will do their best to offer a happy performance. We want to show you the best we've got." (Eunjung)

Jewelry released their new song "Hot and Cold" for the first time in 9 months on July 5. The song was very popular among the fans, enough to become a contender for 1st place. With this momentum, Jewelry is planning another comeback this year. They've already begun working on recording their new album.

"We weren't really expecting it, but were thrilled when our fans showed us such great love and support. Currently we are being very diligent in our recordings and working on the new album. We hope to comeback with a new album in November. With our latest song "Hot and Cold," we feel like we've grown and received recognition in our singing. We want to comeback soon.
