Kate Moss is celebrating her 40th birthday by helping celebrate Playboy magazine’s diamond anniversary.

British supermodel Kate Moss will do a nude Playboy cover to celebrate the magazine’s 60 years in the beauty business. Kate Moss will be on Playboy’s December cover.

Marilyn Monroe was the first Playboy Playmate in December 1953. Kate Moss turns 40 on January 16.

While this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Kate Moss naked, she told Vanity Fair in December 2012 she suffered nervous breakdown over posing topless. Kate Moss said, "I never felt very comfortable about it. I hated my boobs! Because I was flat-chested. And I had a big mole on one.

Talking about Kate Moss, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner told the Los Angeles Times "She's a worldwide celebrity and iconic and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modeling."

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, Cooper Hefner, Hugh Hefner’s son, tweeted "Kate Moss will be gracing the cover of our 60th anniversary issue this January. It'll be a great issue."

Jimmy Jellinek, Playboy’s Editorial director, had nothing but great things to say about Kate Moss, "This is a massive global brand. You need a global icon in order to celebrate that -- that was the impetus. You're talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. The Kate Moss’ nude Playboy cover will be photographed wearing Playboy’s bunny ears, French cuffs, silk stockings and an alluring "come-hither smile" by fashion photographers Marcus Pigott and Mert Atlas.

In the early 90s, Kate Moss rose to fame as the poster child for the "heroin chic." The look was attributed to Kate Moss’ waif-like frame. Kate Moss is now one of the top-earning models in the business. In 2012, Kate Moss made almost $20 million in 2012. Kate Moss’ face has led ad campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Bulgari and other big brands.

Kate Moss, who used to be Johnny Depp's girlfriend, recently shot a pictorial for V Magazine with Rihanna.
