From Akdong Musician To SISTAR, K-Pop's Biggest Stars Don Hanboks And Send Chuseok Greetings To Fans [PHOTOS]

The three-day harvest festival of Chuseok, or Hangawi, began in Korea on Thursday, and many of K-pop's top stars are ready to celebrate.

Often described as the Korean Thanksgiving, Chuseok customs include returning to one's hometown and feasts of traditional foods like songpyeon, rice balls stuffed with a sweet filling.

Like many of the country's celebrities, the brother-sister teen duo Akdong Musician got into the spirit of Chuseok, posing for photos in the colorful traditional Korean dress known as a hanbok to celebrate the day.

"We hope that you spend a fulfilling Hangawi the traditional name for, and have a safe trip to your hometowns," read a message from the band according to the publication eNEWS.

K-pop boy band BOYFRIEND posted for a Twitter photo in hanboks on Tuesday and sent their fans a message of thanks.

"Boyfriend says hello in time for the nation's biggest holiday, Chuseok," read BOYFRIEND's tweet. "Thank you for all the love and support during the year."

The four members of SISTAR thanked the artists and executives at their record label Starship Entertainment.

"To all the Starship family members who gave SISTAR so much love this year, we hope that this Chuseok will be a holiday that will fill your heart and make it feel rich," the statement read.

Another member of the Starship family, singer K.Will, emerged from his current hiatus from the spotlight, to send Chuseok greetings through his Twitter account and pose for a photo.

"This is K.Will, who wore a hanbok to say hello for Chuseok to everyone," he wrote. "I hope you and your families spend a very enjoyable Hangawi!"

MBLAQ vocalist G.O cautioned his fans against eating too much for the holiday.

"Everyone, Happy Hangawi!" G.O wrote.

"This year's holiday is the biggest holiday, so during this time, eat a lot and spend lots and lots of time with your family. Don't get fat like me."

The boy band NU'EST band sent Chuseok greetings to the readers of the website Soompi.

"Hello everyone at Soompi, how have you been?" asked NU'EST band member JR.

"We are doing great and hope the same for you. Hope you have a good day on Chuseok. Please continue to show us your love."
