SBS's Chuseok Special "Star Faceoff" was advertised as a singing program, but instead resorted to becoming a star talent show, and left viewers wanting more.

On "Star Faceoff," which aired on September 20, EXO, ZE:A, VIXX, Lee Jung, Girl's Day, Rainbow, SISTAR, Sweet Sorrow, Red Apple, BESTie, Hong Jin Young, Lee Yu Bi, Yoon Hyung Bin, and others sang classic songs sung by legendary artists. They sang songs from each generation, and put on quite a show.

Hong Jin Young sang Madonna's "Like A Virgin" in an innocent yet sexy performance. ZE:A sang a Michael Jackson song and put on a difficult yet great performance. Girl's Day sang an OST from "Chicago." EXO showed off a Beatle's song sporting cute Beatles hairstyles.

The stars also sang some Korean songs on the show. VIXX came on stage dressed as girls, and sang Wonder Girls' hit song "So Hot." SoYou moved the audience with Baek Ji Young's ballad, and Sweet Sorrow sang a medley of Jo Yong Pil's songs.

Even despite everyone's busy schedules during this holiday season, the stars showed their dedication through their performances for "Star Faceoff." They practiced choreography for the group, and even rearranged popular songs to perform on the show.

However, there was a disappointing aspect to the show. It seemed more like a talent show than a singing show. In order to gain more points from the judges, the performers had to show off their individual talents, such as impersonations. VIXX member N performed Sunmi's "24 Hours," and Girl's Day Minah gained extra points by impersonating Park Jung Hyun. SoYou sang So Chan Hwee's "Tears" in a comical way and gained more points.

 This talent-centered agenda of the show was made apparent by the judges' requests for other talents such as impersonations right after a song was sung. It seemed as if the show was more tailored for individual talents instead of singing.

"Star Faceoff" was supposed to be a show where stars perform songs originally sung by legendary artists. Cultwo's Jung Chan Woo and Kim Tae Kyun hosted the show, and Jung Sun Hee, Boom, Kim Young Chul, and Shin Chul were judges.
