Sofia Vergara suffered a wardrobe malfunction at the 2013 Emmy Awards on Sunday. Luckily, it was just a dress rip, but this makes it the second year in a row that Sofia Vergara had a wardrobe malfunction at the 2013 Emmys.

Sofia Vergara, star of "Modern Family," wore a red Vera Wang lace gown with a plunging neckline and trumpet skirt that fit Vergara's gorgeous curves like a glove.

But later that night at the 2013 Emmys, the Colombian actress suffered a major wardrobe malfunction: the Vera Wang gown ripped, Fox News reports.

Vergara, 41, was seen fidgeting with the lace on the left side of her dress while her "Modern Family" co-stars were speaking to the press backstage. When she stepped back, she revealed a tear in the red dress, Fox News reports.

Vergara said the wardrobe malfunction was due to someone stepping on her dress that night at the Emmys.

And as if the night could get any worse, Vergara didn't win the 2013 Emmy award for "Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy."

But this isn't the first time Sofia Vergara has had a wardrobe malfunction at the Emmys, and last time this happened, which was just last year, her dress also ripped.

According to Fox News, Vergara's Zuhair Murad Couture gown split right down the butt at the 2012 Emmys.

The actress may have jinxed herself this year: before the show, Vergara stopped to speak with E! News' Guiliana Rancic.

While gushing about her dress, which she accessorized with emerald and diamond earrings by designer Lorraine Schwatz, Sofia said she was wearing underwear from her new lingerie line for Kmart, Fox News reports.

"But," she added, "you can't see that unless you rip the dress."

And rip it did.
