Putri Norizah And Ryan Thoo Score 'Scoot: K-Pop Star Hunt 3' Spots In Malaysia: FNC Label Employees To Coach Contestants

Malaysian singers Putri Norizah and Ryan Thoo might become K-pop's newest stars after clinching a national competition for the South Korean reality TV singing competition "Scoot: K-Pop Star Hunt 3."

And the two aspiring artists couldn't be happier about it.

"I was very nervous before my performance as others were very competitive, but as soon as I stepped on stage, I gave it my all," Norizah told eNEWS.

"I want to thank all those who have supported me as it reaffirmed my belief that I could do this. I'm honored to be representing Malaysia."

Thoo said that although he was nervous before his performance, when he stepped onto the stage, all of his anxieties were washed away.

"I was really anxious before I went on stage because I wanted this so much," he said.

"Everyone is so incredibly talented and competitive, I wasn't sure if I could win. I am especially pleased that the judges applauded my efforts since I made the top 10 last year."

The Malaysian tryouts for "Scoot: K-Pop Star Hunt 3" began on Friday at Berjaya Times Square in the city of Kuala Lumpur.

Norizah and Thoo clinched the two available spots on the show after two rounds of auditions.

Earlier this month, it was announced that record label FNC Entertainment home of major K-pop acts FT Island, CN Blue, AOA and Juniel will coach the "Scoot: K-Pop Star Hunt 3" contestants.

The performers on the singing competition are competing for a record deal with labels CJ E&M and FNC Entertainment.

Earlier this month, "Scoot: K-Pop Star Hunt 3," which premieres on Channel M and HyppTV on November 30, held a similar competition in Singapore.

CNBLUE bassist Lee Jung Shin showed up a few days before the auditions began to encourage the applicants.

In the end, the Singapore round of the contest was won by 23-year-old dance instructor Yvonne Chua and 21-year-old graphic designer Stephanie Koh.

Like Norizah and Thoo, they will head to Seoul in a few weeks to begin their training.

"Scoot: K-Pop Star Hunt 3" is holding similar national contests in the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia.
