Amanda Bynes Back In Rehab After Leaving Psych Lockup; Amanda Bynes' Mother Granted Conservatorship

Amanda Bynes’ schizophrenia has been treated and the troubled Twitter goddess and former child star has left psychiatric lockup and is now in rehab.

Amanda Bynes has been in involuntary psychiatric hold in July. Amanda Bynes has been in the psychiatric facility ever since. It is alleged that Amanda Bynes was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Last week, lawyers for Amanda Bynes said she was mentally unfit to stand trial in her DUI case.

According to TMZ, Amanda Bynes was moved from UCLA Medical Centre to the rehab facility The Canyon in Malibu. The new treatment facility doesn't have the facilities to treat mental illness was available to Amanda Bynes at the Californian hospital she was initially being treated at.

Amanda Bynes’ move from psych lockup to rehab is a surprise. A judge granted Amanda Bynes’ mother, Lynn Bynes, conservatorship last week. These kinds of orders are only available for adults with mental illness. This means Lynn will now make all decisions for Amanda Bynes. Previously, Amanda Bynes’ mother held a temporary conservatorship.

Rumors have been going around that Amanda Bynes has been at The Canyon rehab facility for the last three weeks. According to published reports, Amanda Bynes is still in a troubled state and does not interact with other patients.

TMZ reported "She... rarely leaves the area where she's living. Amanda is not wearing her wig and is ‘paranoid’ the paparazzi will find her."

Amanda Bynes was placed under an involuntary 5150 hold in July following reports that she started a fire in a residential driveway in Thousand Oaks, California. The fire followed a series of odd incidents involving Amanda Bynes. The troubled star was also arrested after she apparently threw a bong out of her apartment window in New York City.

Lawyers for Amanda Bynes requested a postponement of up to 18 months in the case last week while the star received professional care.

Amanda Bynes is best known for her work on TV's “The Amanda Show” and "What I Like About You." The actress also acted in the film "Hairspray” and in the movie “Easy A" from 2010.
