Lolo Jones Twitter: Wants To Weigh 160 Pounds; Eats 9,000 Calories A Day To Prepare For Sochi Olympics

Lolo Jones is one of the few women in the world who would announce her weight on Twitter. But Lolo Jones is no ordinary woman; the Olympic bobsledder says she's trying to pack on the pounds to prepare for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

On Sunday night, Lolo Jones wrote on her Twitter account: "After dinner I weighed in at 158.5! I way more than mayweather holding a toy poodle #hurdlingbobsledder"

"I'm the heaviest ever in my life," Jones proudly told USA Today on Sunday.

"It took so much work. I'm three pounds away from my ultimate goal."

According to NBC News, Lolo Jones' goal weight is 160 pounds. The bobsledder eats 9,000 calories a day, so her goal does not seem very far off.

Her diet consists of two daily protein shakes (1,365 calories each) and McDonald's double bacon cheeseburgers, among other menu items, NBC News reports.

Her bobsled suit recently ripped down the middle of her stomach during a commercial shoot, according to USA Today. But Lolo Jones was excited.

"I'm pumped about this muscle weight," Jones said. "My abs are still there. I'm still cut, just super solid."

USA Today explains that all the calories are needed to build the muscle to power a 400-pound sled. The website reports that, in bobsled, the mantra is "mass pushes mass."

However, coaches told Jones if she gets up to 170, it will hamper her chances of resuming her track career after the Sochi games.

Team trials begin Oct. 12 in Lake Placid, N.Y., and the Olympics kick off in 130 days, USA Today reports.
