Park Si Hoo's Brother Says The Actor Has Grown From His Legal Ordeal, Predicts 'He Will Return With A New Perspective'

The younger brother of actor Park Si Hoo issued a written apology for the actor's actions on Thursday.

"[Park Si Hoo] received a lot of criticism from society as a public figure who should have been setting a good example," the statement read, according to the website allkpop.

"As both a close family relation and an outside figure, I would like to sincerely apologize as the head of the actor's agency."

Park Woo Ho, who is the CEO of his famous brother's company Hoo Factory, believes that Park Si Hoo will learn from a legal ordeal that undeniably tarnished his reputation.

"As someone who endured the most hardships during this difficult time, he will return with a new perspective, he will not forget the heavy responsibility that comes with being a public figure, and he will become an actor who tries his very best," Woo Ho wrote.

Park Si Hoo was accused of raping a woman he had gone on a date with back in February, according to the publication eNEWS.

Although eventually cleared of all charges, the actor sued his accuser and the CEO of his former talent agency as being involved in an elaborate plan to blackmail him.

Park Si Hoo eventually dropped both of the lawsuits in an effort to move on with his life, a representative for the actor told CJ E&M-owned publication eNEWS.

Back in July, Si Hoo had posted his own lengthy apology on his website

"I'm sincerely sorry for making everyone worried," he wrote.

"I felt like everyone who knew my face was cursing me out. I got even more scared, and I felt guilty that I had hurt my fans, who have sincerely loved me as Park Si Hoo. I wondered if I could see you again. But I see the people who stayed by me even after the incident, and I gathered up my courage."

"Like the long, intense monsoon season we have had this summer, I, too, had a long and intense rain," Si Hoo added.

"But I believe that the ground will become more solid after bearing the rain. When that happens, I wish we can all smile and greet each other happily. Until then, please fill in the areas I lack, take my hand whenever I back away, and push me forward when I become breathless from the sharp incline."
