With her single "Royals" topping the charts and her "Pure Heroine" album on sale, Lorde sat down with Fuse to talk about the haters.

Following the discovery of "Royals" reign over "Wrecking Ball," Cyrus fans known as "Smilers" went after the New Zealand songstress.

They went as far as wishing Lorde would kill herself, cracking on her looks, and threatening her. Lorde continued to take the high road.

In the Fuse  interview Lorde actually admitted to admiring Cyrus and wishing her the best of luck.

"That wasn't my fault. I like what she's doing," said Lorde. "Yeah, their all like 'kill yourself.' I only like wish good will on people. I just speak my mind a lot."

The way the 16-year-old prodigy copes with the criticism is by taking it lightly or just avoiding it altogether.

"If you don't take what people say about you to seriously, I think you'll be ok. I use to read my own reviews and stuff but not anymore," said Lorde. "I read this one on Spin the other day that was real sassy."

Although she had a passive aggressive method when dealing with insults, Lorde revealed that she can have a short fuse.

"Yes, I just really have a low tolerance for like stupid people. "

At the end of the interview, Lorde was asked if she would ever consider following in Cyrus' footsteps with getting naked for the public.

"I think I'm good. I'm ok," she said.
