After it was reported that Britney Spears will be earning $300,000 per night for her Las Vegas show in the next two years, critics are wondering if Sin City is overpaying the singer.

While Billboard  called it a "whopping" price for the "Work Bitch" artist, TMZ  coined it as "titanic."

Although, according to Pollstar, a sold out show can generate more than $500,000 in ticket sales, Spears is promised a higher pay out than the average gross income of the Hollywood Planet arena.

However, this might be a deal for the Las Vegas hotel since Celine Dion earns $500,000 per show.

In addition, Spears' residency can bring a gambling crowd to the hotel which doesn't have a nightclub to lure in the public.

Entertainment attorney Lori Landew of Fox Rothschild thinks Spears' show is a great investment for Planet Hollywood.

“If Britney were on tour and raking in $300,000 per show, nobody would blink an eye,” said Landew. “It shouldn’t matter that the shows are limited to one venue in one town. From Planet Hollywood’s perspective, they’re not only getting a performer who is going to draw crowds, but they’re already getting publicity that’s worth way more than what they’re paying Britney.”

Then there are those who are still skeptical about the whole thing.

A Las Vegas insider said it "feels like a dud" and "once the initial thrill wears off" it will be a challenge to sell out every show.

Plus, there is the whole issue of her possibly lip-synching despite the fact that she can dance her heart out.

Regardless of what people may think, Spears feels very entitled to the Vegas salary since she claims to be working vigorously.
